Opportunities to develop

Wonderland Montessori Academy offers children opportunities to build foundational skills and develop their character. We encourage our children to participate in activities of their own interest, building a sense of independence and self-reliance, with teachers fulfilling the role of observers and guides. We also ensure that our students are equipped for life beyond the school’s learning environment. Our learning philosophy helps children step out into the world as engaged, competent, and responsible citizens.

Close Caring Community

We at Wonderland Montessori, believe in the foundation of being a family. We make sure that not only teachers but younger students feel cared for and supported by their older peers. Our teachers ‘follow the child’ and trust that each child has his or her own developmental timeline and that he or she is doing something for a reason.

We provide an atmosphere where students can gain confidence and learn to cooperate rather than compete. We understand the importance of praising the effort than the result and this helps in building on behaviors and attitude than skill.

Even the language that we apply and the relationships that are built are through the use of statements about how a community works, rather than calling out commands, because children want to be a part of the community they find themselves in, in the classroom.

Freedom to Learn

It is our main goal that the ambition and potential of each and every student is encouraged, cultivated, and challenged.

One of the key features of Montessori is that children have choices. Maria Montessori understood that each child has a different developmental timeline, varied interests and talents. At Wonderland Montessori Academy, we understand and respect how important it is to provide a physical and social environment where children choose what they want to work on. This helps instill a sense of pride and confidence in their individual capabilities and creates a sense of inclusion, a love and respect for diversity early on.
