Spanish Dual Language Program
Spanish Dual Language environments are offered for toddler (18-36 months) and children's house (3-6 years) at select campuses. In the first years of life, children are naturally developing their spoken word skills, with an estimated 90% of our adult conversational language in place by the age of six.
Children in a dual language environment experience both English and Spanish being spoken during the academic day, with each adult in the classroom speaking exclusively their assigned language. Stories and songs are shared in both languages. Individual lessons to children are given in Spanish or English as appropriate for that child's development. With consistency, the children become comfortable with the Spanish language, with comprehension of the spoken word, and some verbal use of Spanish, as well.
