LeAnne Mattingley

Head of School

LeAnne Mattingley was led to Montessori education after having an amazing conversation with a five-year-old Montessori student in a coffee shop. After this conversation, she went on to become an assistant in an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) classroom, and later became a certified AMI guide at the Primary Level (ages 3–6). Since then, she spent over two decades teaching using the Montessori method; in an AMI environment, homeschooling, and tutoring children ages three to twelve. She graduated in August 2022 from the AMI Elementary Training Program at Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies. She earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. While in her first role as a Lead Guide took her to the Caribbean, a later experience in Doha, Qatar showed her how deeply enriching the Montessori method is even when teaching without a common language. She combined her Communication degree with her experience and appreciation of the Montessori method to build strong relationships based on understanding and common goals with the parent community. She enjoys yoga, aerial yoga, art, baking, sports, dogs, and horses. She is also a Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese healing modality) practitioner; working on people and four-legged animals.
